I am pleased to announce that Juror John Ros has chosen two of my stained glass/paper clay wall hangings, MAGMA, and STORMBREAK ON THE MAINE COAST to be part of the 2018 Larkin Arts National Juried Visual Arts Exhibition. The Exhibition will run from October 5th until October 27th, 2018 at Larkin Arts, 61 Court Square, Harrisonburg, VA  22801 with an opening reception on October 5th from 5 to 8pm.

RUST BELT IN 2018 AMERICAN COLOR PRINT SOCIETY SHOW

I am very pleased to announce that my layered monoprint, RUST BELT, has been accepted into the American Color Print Society’s Fall Exhibition Open Show by Juror Caren Friedman. The Show will run from October 7th through October 25th, 2018 at The Plastic Club, 247 South Camac Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. There will be an Opening Reception from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday, October 7th.

GROWING OLD TOGETHER in the ALA Gallery by the Lake

I am very pleased to announce that juror Richard E. Gallego has included my monotype GROWING OLD TOGETHER in the ALA Gallery by the Lake Show “Through My Eyes”. The Show will run from July 22nd through September 22nd. The Gallery is located at 106 W Pryce Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday: 12:00 – 5:00, and Saturday: 10:00 – 2:00, and there will be a reception on July 22nd from 2:00 until 4:30 so if you’re in the area drop in.

MRAC 10th Annual Juried Show

I am pleased to announce that juror Anthony Casasanto has included my Whimsical One-Liner ink drawings, BAD SUSHI and HALF ASS DRAWING, in the Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center’s 10th Annual Juried Show. The Show will run from July 15th through July 22nd at their gallery at 419 Green Lane and then shift to their gallery on Ridge Avenue in Roxborough until August 22nd. There will be an opening reception from 3 until 5 PM on Sunday, July 15th. Admission is free.

I am very pleased to announce that juror Julia Samuels has invited my sculptural pieces SANTA MUERTE and SANTA MUERTE #5 into the Art League Rhode Island exhibition “Facing the wall.”  This was an open national competition.   The exhibition will run from Friday, March 9 through Saturday May 25, 2018 at the VETs Gallery, One Avenue of the Arts, Providence R, RI, 02903.  There was a reception on Thursday, March 29.  Both pieces are currently for sale.

 

TUBAC CENTER OF THE ARTS: FROM THE EARTH

I am very pleased to announce that juror Bram Colby has invited two of my pieces, A FAMILY TREE, and SAND HILLS into the “From the Earth” Exhibition at the Tubac Center of the Arts in Tubac, Arizona. A nation-wide competition, “From the Earth” is an exhibition of art created from materials related to the earth including clay, bronze, ceramic, wood, glass, terra cotta, soapstone, and metal. A FAMILY TREE is composed of torch cut sheet steel on a cherry wood base while SAND HILLS is a free standing, hand built ceramic sculpture which uses texturing and metal oxides. The exhibition runs from January 19th until February 26th, 2018 at the Tubac Center of the Arts, 9 Plaza Rd, Tubac, AZ 85646 with an opening reception from 5 to7pm on January 19th. It’s warm there and both pieces are for sale.

TRIBUTE SHOW

I am very pleased to announce that juror Susan Irish has invited my paper collages, ON SUBWAY WALLS and …AND TENEMENT HALLS into the Tribute Show at the Fabulon Art Center in Charleston, South Carolina. The Tribute Show, which is about the relationship between music and the visual arts and particularly how music is expressed by visual artists, will run from October 6, 2017 until December 6, 2017 with a reception on October 21st from 5 until 8 PM. The Fabulon Art Center is located at 1017 Wappoo Road, Charleston, SC 29407.

ERUPTION (AT THE HOT GLASS SHOW)

I am very pleased to announce that juror Nancy Weisser,  invited my stained glass/ceramic piece, ERUPTION, into the Allegany Arts Council’s HOT GLASS EXHIBITION & COMPETITION. ERUPTION will be on view at their Saville Gallery, 9 N. Centre St, Cumberland, MD from August 12th until September 2nd 2017. Cumberland MD is a delightful town and the Show reception on Saturday, August 19th was a lot of fun.  In addition to juror Nancy Weisser, I had the chance to meet and talk with a number of very talented “hot glass” artists from around the country. After seeing the show I was even happier to be a part of it.
